Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Easy Language (Tomojoyo Digital) when you use our apps and web services.
1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing, or using any Easy Language (Tomojoyo Digital) app or web service (the "Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please stop using the Services and remove the app from your device.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "We", "us" | Easy Language (Tomojoyo Digital), the publisher of the Services. |
| "You" | The parent, guardian, or adult who accepts these terms and is responsible for use of the Services. |
| "Services" | All mobile apps, web apps (PWAs), websites, and learning material we publish. |
| "Account" | A parent account created to store and restore learning progress. |
| "Content" | Learning material in the Services: text, images, audio, video, animation, and exercises. |
3. Eligibility and accounts
- An account may only be created by someone at least 18 years old, or of legal age in your jurisdiction.
- Children may use the Services through an account created and supervised by a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
- Information you give at registration must be accurate, and kept up to date if it changes.
- One account is intended for one family. You may create several child profiles within it.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Most of our Services work without an account at all. One is only needed if you want to restore progress on another device or restore purchases.
4. Licence to use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for personal learning within your household.
This licence does not cover commercial use. If you would like to use the Services in a school, tutoring centre, or paid study group, contact us for a separate licence.
5. What you may not do
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, sell, rent, or redistribute our Content without written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app code, except as expressly permitted by law.
- Remove or obscure copyright and trademark notices on our Content.
- Circumvent payment systems, unlock paid content without paying, or forge purchase receipts.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automation to harvest Content or overload our servers.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or our internal systems without authorisation.
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to harm others.
Serious breaches may result in termination of access without refund, in addition to any legal remedies available to us.
6. Intellectual property
All Content, interface design, illustrations, characters, audio, trademarks, logos, and application code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
You may use the Content to learn with your child. You may not republish it, sell it, or build it into another product without our written permission.
If you send us feedback, feature ideas, or bug reports, we may use them to improve the Services without obligation to compensate you, and without limiting your own rights to those ideas outside our Services.
7. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds
- Some Services offer one-off purchases or recurring subscriptions that unlock additional content.
- All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store as the seller of record. We never receive your card details.
- Prices are shown before purchase and include taxes as handled by the store in your region.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation is done in the subscription settings of Google Play or the App Store, not inside our app.
- Cancelling stops future billing; access continues until the paid period ends.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refund requests follow Google Play or Apple policy. We will help where we can, but the final decision rests with the store.
- Paid content already purchased can be restored on a new device using the same store account.
8. Availability and changes
- We work to keep the Services available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network problems, or app store issues may make them temporarily unreachable.
- We may add, change, or retire features to improve the Services.
- If we permanently discontinue a paid app, we will notify paying users in advance and offer a reasonable remedy, such as a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of a subscription.
- We may require an update to the latest version for certain features to keep working.
9. Ending your account
You may stop using the Services at any time and request account deletion via the Delete Account & Data page.
We may suspend or terminate access in cases of serious breach, system abuse, or fraud. Except in cases of clear abuse, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that they will be error-free, always available, or produce any particular learning outcome. Every child progresses differently, influenced by many factors beyond our control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising from use of the Services is limited to the amount you actually paid us for those Services in the preceding 12 months, or zero if you use them free of charge.
We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data you did not back up, lost profits, or losses arising from your device or third-party services.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from third-party claims arising from your or your child’s use of the Services in breach of these terms or of the law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute arises we encourage resolving it amicably first — send your complaint to easylanguage.pare@gmail.com and we will respond within 7 business days.
If no agreement is reached within 60 days, the dispute will be settled by the competent courts of Indonesia. This does not remove your right to bring a claim in your country of residence where local consumer law gives you that right.
14. General provisions
- Severability. If one provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in full effect.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign ours in a merger or business transfer, with notice to you.
- Entire agreement. These terms together with the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
- Changes. We may update these terms. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by in-app notice or email.
- Language. This document exists in Indonesian and English. In case of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Indonesian version prevails.
15. Contact
